The Center for Gender Equity, or "The Center" for short, is a safe space for students and community members alike. The Center is a new initiative responding to a lack of unified educational opportunities regarding women, LGBTQ issues, and gender equity social problems in Grant County and the campus of Western New Mexico University. It serves as the place where students and the surrounding community can participate in transformative programming and advocacy on issues of gender equity and feminism.

Silver Regional Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program is driven by Shauna McCosh. Shauna is specially trained to provide around the clock, first-response care to pediatric and adult sexual assault survivors for. Our Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) are experts at addressing the psychological and physical trauma associated with sexual assault, focusing strongly on patient dignity and compassionate support.
